The 5th International Conference on the Doctrine of Mahdism
4-5 August 2009, Tehran
Thema: Society and government which prepare the ground of the appearance:
Missions and strategies
Peace be upon the spring of creation and the delight of era
The Late Imam Khomeini, by his magnificent Islamic revolution in Iran, with the purpose of paving the ground for the appearance, gave hope to oppressed nations and thwarted the vicious plans of the oppressors. The victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran attracted the attention of many intellectuals towards religious doctrines in general and Mahdism in particular. Thus Mahdism and apocalyptic issues came under the discussion of scholars as religious system's strategy. It is incumbent upon cultural and political elites to reflect on this doctrine, and clarify its missions and strategies, and to help contemporary human beings make a brilliant future for themselves. Scholars and researchers are invited to share with us analytic articles explicating suppositions and deductions regarding the benefits of the mores of Mahdism. The conference welcomes scientific research analyzing the culture, missions, and strategies of Mahdism with regard to the society and government which could pave the ground for the appearance in the present era.
