The closing remarks of the Second International Conference of the Mahdism Doctrine

Peace be upon you the Path of God, the One who goes another way is going astray
The second international conference on the Mahdism Doctrine commenced with the aim of expanding and deepening the rich culture and proliferating teachings of Mahdism and messianism in Islam and the other religions. Its other objective was to discover the high capacities and the new approaches of this new field. The conference inaugurated by the opening speech of the reverend president, Dr. Ahmadinejad. There were one hundred and seven researchers and scholars from various religions who had taken part from thirty seven countries. The conference included many articles and speeches presented by prominent domestic and foreign figures. It emphasized the following statements:
Mahdism teachings can be used as the basis of forming theories in many fields, particularly the cultural and social fields. Unfortunately, throughout the history the religious application of the Mahdism doctrine and massianism has been within the individual and ideological scope; not within the social and international affairs. Socially speaking, numerous individuals and sects have legitimized their political movements and satanic wishes by abusing the Doctrine of Mahdism .Thereby it is suitable to view Mahdism and messianism comprehensively and to reflect on its application within major perception as well as within the cultural and social courses.
Since in the present time we need patterns and models in the case of social and public theories, we have to theorize in this regard. The Mahdism Doctrine means the endeavour of scholars to realize the theories in the fields of anthropology, sociology, politics, management, law and international relations. It also provides a guideline for the rulers to help them be better rulers. There are many Qoranic verses and Hadith (traditions) about Mahdism and messianism from which we could inference guidelines that would help us develop social and political patterns and theories. It is suitable to make new theories based on the culture of Mahdism and consider it as the social and political doctrine of the Islamic communities.
This conference stressed on the undeniable necessity of Mahdism and messianism as a common inter-religious truth and on its numerous and endless capacities. We ask all the religious scholars and researchers of different countries to investigate on the issue of Mahdism and messianism to enhance its capacities. We hope that this way, the objectives of this conference would be more fruitful in the coming year. With God’s help and Imam Mahdi’s approval, the institute of The Bright Future seeks to continue this initiatory move. It has for the first time assessed the Mahdism and massianism issues academically and comparatively in the form of inter-religious research; similarly this path is going to be continued in the following years. We therefore ask all scholars to assist us in theorizing through their researches and reflections on the issue of Mahdism and messiamism.
